Bayern Munich win DFL- German Super Cup

Frankfurt (dpa) - Bayern Munich retaliated for their annihilation in last season's German Cup last on Sunday with a 5-0 mortification of Eintracht Frankfurt in the Super Cup, the customary shade raiser for the new season, in Bayern mentor Niko Kovac's first focused match in control.

Robert Lewandowski scored twice inside the space of five first-half minutes to put Bayern on simple road and anchored his cap trap after half-time. Substitute Kingsley Coman tapped in a fourth on 61 minutes and Thiago Alcantara made it five on 85 minutes as the champions trotted to triumph in the Commerzbank Arena.

Bayern's predominance was aggregate and Eintracht, who left Croatian World Cup star Ante Rebic on the seat, neglected to lay a glove on the Bavarians in a tame execution on home turf.

For Kovac it was a second bit of flatware as a director. He adds the Super Cup to the German Cup he won last season while responsible for Eintracht. Be that as it may, it was a bleak begin to life as Eintracht mentor for Kovac's substitution, Adi Huetter.
